Frequently asked questions

When does the web version launch?

We're targeting September 2026 to align with the start of the US school year. Waitlist members will be the first to know — and first to try it.

Is it free to try?

Yes. Like the mobile apps, the web version will have a free 14-day trial with no credit card required. After the trial, existing subscribers can use their current plan on the web too.

Will it work on Chromebooks?

Yes — that's one of the main reasons we're building it. Any modern browser on any operating system will work, including Chromebooks, Windows school PCs, iPads, and Macs.

What features will it have at launch?

The core features: PDF upload, text-to-speech with synchronized highlighting, syllabification, onset/rime, and dictionary lookup. Camera-based page scanning will follow in a subsequent release.

Is it FERPA / COPPA compliant?

Yes. Dyslexia Reader does not collect personal data from students. The web version will adhere to the same privacy standards as the mobile apps. See our Privacy Policy for details.
